New Trends in Oilfield Injection Water Treatment
New technology, particularly for filtration, deaeration and bacterial control, is briefly described and related to overall operating philosophies such as the current debates on whether filtration of injection water is needed at all. The risks associated with lack of water quality control are considered in relation to the costs of reduced reservoir sweep efficiency, increased plant down-time and overall lost oil production.
