We have a new position for a Project Coordinator to oversee our project work at our offices in Newbury, UK. The successful candidate will be required to work with our technical and engineering teams, assisting them in completing tasks in an orderly and timely manner to meet assigned deadlines and to a technical standard that meets client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Project coordination of on-going projects, including technical quality assurance and timely execution of each deliverable and the overall project tracking and progress
  • Ensure compliance with the agreed client scope of work
  • Support the technical manager to ensure that all reasonable staff needs are met and that the working relationships are such that high staff morale is maintained.
  • Support project managers with client liaison to ensure client satisfaction at all time.
  • Support project leaders to quantify weekly percentage completion, to ensure that the actual percentage completion is in line with budget
  • Support sales team during the build-up of the project from proposal stage
  • Keep management briefed by preparing project updates and presentations that illustrate a project’s value and status, highlighting any additional work which would enhance the quality of the project but which was not part of the original scope
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, documentation and ensure that all members of a project team adhere to set standards

Requirements

  • BSc degree in a suitable subject essential
  • Masters Degree or MBA highly advantageous
  • Project management qualification desirable
  • Man management (team leader experience an advantage)
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator, demonstrating the skills detailed above
  • Experience of coordinating multiple concurrent projects
  • Analytical and PC package software including in-house software (high skills in MS Project essential)
  • Communication (excellent verbal and written skills)
  • Commercial awareness (financial project control skills an advantage)
  • Organisational skills to set up, track and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team with various skill levels
  • Oil industry experience advantageous
