JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY

The purpose of this job is to develop business for the Asset Integrity department within Oil Plus. In our company Asset Integrity focuses on the niche area of maintenance management, operational resilience, and reliability engineering. The job will encompass all stages of a typical sales life cycle from initial research and collation of market data through to gaining a place on work-scope tender lists and on to account management after contract award.

There will be a requirement to compile and own a robust business development strategy designed to meet sales quotas set by the Global Sales Business Development Director, track sales data and identify areas of improvement.

It will be imperative that you maintain good customer relations from lead stage to post project stage and attain customer feedback analysis. Candidates should be able to multitask, have strong communication skills and business knowledge.

As part of a dynamic team the post holder will be from an experienced Maintenance Engineering background and familiar with the delivery of maintenance management systems and solutions. You will be a team player and accustomed to working to deadlines. You will have experience in the Energy sector and be conversant with quality management systems and their controls.

Ideally the candidate will have a practical knowledge of CMMS, AIMS, ERP or EAM solutions from a management, user, or implementation perspective.

MAIN DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with sales team members on strategic sales approach
  • Develop and work to an annual sales plan
  • Identify and accurately qualify opportunities
  • Follow-up on leads and identify opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
  • Ensure successful follow-through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application
  • Nurture new leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with Management
  • Document all sales activity in our CRM daily
  • Be responsible for educating and developing prospects through detailed technical knowledge already gained, must be confident to solely present company offering
  • Identify key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin the sales cycle
  • To identify new networking opportunities for the company’s products and services
  • To identify relevant business events for attendance
  • To build an opportunity pipeline
  • To support and assist the nominated tendering team with development and submission of proposals (Prequalifications, Tenders, and Questionnaires)Attending network and promotional events to develop and maintain contact with potential clients and professional bodies
  • Update FPAL registration and collate customer feedback
  • Providing sales support to the department managers
  • Work within the requirements of the Integrated Management System

JOB KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Working knowledge of sales processes and good practises
  • Working knowledge of Customer Relations Management
  • Demonstrate experience and good knowledge of:
    • Developing project plans with accurate resourcing and work schedules
    • Developing method of work statements and processes for all projects undertaken
    • Developing Maintenance Philosophies
    • Developing Asset Registers, hierarchies and classifications from P&IDs, PFDs, single line drawings and other data sources
    • Preparing for and conduct Preliminary Criticality Analysis studies
    • Preparing for and conduct maintenance strategy analysis (Failure Modes and Effects analysis, RCM, criticality, etc.)
    • Developing maintenance strategies
    • Developing Planned Maintenance Routines for core disciplines
    • Construction of planned maintenance program
    • Assisting with workload smoothing and man-power projections
    • Performing spares analysis for critical equipment
  • Required to reliably follow procedures on established work scopes and demonstrate technical initiative when circumstances require any variations

JOB SKILLS REQUIRED

  • An in depth understanding of maintenance management practices, systems, and processes
  • Must be adept at forming and sustaining relationships with prospects
  • Consultative sales approach, strong negotiation skills, and excellent follow-through
  • Solid history of quota achievement
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and prospects at many levels and with varying degrees of technical expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with internal and partner resources
  • Candidates should be able to multitask, have strong communication skills and business knowledge
  • Well organised, high level of attention to detail and strong client focus
  • Ability to deliver to financial and time-based deadlines
  • High level of PC-literacy and familiar with Microsoft Office applications

EDUCATION + TRAINING REQUIRED

  • Must possess a minimum of HNC or an equivalent qualification together with extensive experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas Sector onshore or offshore OR
  • A MEng / BSc engineering qualification and willingness to gain the necessary practical experience

RECENT PROJECT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Actively involved in the management, use or implementation of Maintenance Management Systems
  • Extensive practical involvement in the maintenance of onshore or offshore assets within the Energy sector
  • Report writing and effective communication
